On February 5, 2013 the city council voted and approved the following service options to limit the liability to the city.
Services We Can Offer to Our Customers
1. During an initial meter on, we will perform a shut in test and light your pilots
2. If you smell gas and call our office we will check the area for any gas leaks
3. When you dial 8-1-1 before you dig, and when we receive a valid dig ticket,
we will locate any natural gas lines that are ours up to the meter.

Services We Cannot Offer to Our Customers
1. We cannot light pilots to any natural gas appliances after our initial meter on
service has been completed
2. We cannot troubleshoot any natural gas appliances
3. We cannot locate underground pipelines that are beyond the natural gas
meter.
4. We cannot locate underground pipelines without a valid locate ticket.

On February 5, 2013 the city council voted and approved the following fees to be charged to align the City Gas Dept. with the rest of the utilities upon customer requests.
Schedule of Fees:
New Service Construction Tap - $500.00 (if an extension of main is required then $5.00/ft extra)
Retire and Relocate Service - $750.00
Disconnect for Non-Payment - $50.00 (Disconnects for non-payment will be done on the 26th of each month, should the 26th fall on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the disconnects will be done on the following Monday.
Customers will have until 4:00 p.m. on the 25th to remit payment)
